What are Local Services Ads?

Local Services Ads (LSAs) are the pay-per-lead listings at the very top of Google — above regular ads and above the Map Pack — with the Google Verified checkmark (formerly Google Guaranteed). You pay per lead, not per click, and you only show for the services and areas you're verified for. For home service trades, it's the highest placement on the page.

Why does my Google Business Profile matter for my LSAs?

Because Google merged them. A verified Google Business Profile is now required to run LSAs at all, and your LSA reviews live on your Business Profile — so your GBP rating, review count, and review recency directly set your LSA ranking. Can I still dispute bad leads for credits?
